Upcoming Elections
Primary Election
Oregon will hold a statewide primary election on May 19, 2026.
In Oregon, major political parties nominate their party candidates at the Primary Election. Major parties have the option of choosing a closed primary, meaning only voters registered with that party can vote for candidates of the same party. Those nominees then appear on the November General Election ballot. All registered voters can participate in the General Election, regardless of their party affiliation.
All voters, regardless of party affiliation, will be able to vote for non-partisan races and for measures, if any, at the Primary Election.

Lane County Elections publishes a county voters’ pamphlet for Special District Elections held in May of odd-numbered years. The pamphlet is mailed to the household of all active registered voters. Lane County Elections does not create voters’ pamphlets for any other elections.
The Elections Division of the Oregon Secretary of State’s office publishes a voters’ pamphlet for each Primary and General Election, as well as for statewide special elections. A copy is mailed to every household in the state.
If the Board of County Commissioners adopt an order to include a County Measure in the State Voters' Pamphlet, measure arguments and Statements of Endorsements may be filed with the County Clerk's office.
